(From United Way of Windham County, July newsletter.) The Southeastern Vermont Irene Long Term Recovery Committee (SEVT LTRC), which serves Windham County, is recruiting volunteers to help with ongoing recovery efforts after Tropical Storm Irene. Specially-trained case managers have been working throughout the county with those affected to identify unmet needs and match those needs with available resources, including volunteer support. The Volunteer Coordination Team, chaired by Sue Graff of United Way, is recruiting volunteers, to ensure that as much assistance as possible can be provided, especially in the next few months of warm weather. Individuals or groups interested in helping with Irene clean-up efforts can sign up through the United Way of Windham County at 802-257-4011 x112 or www.unitedwaywindham.org.
