Out of 3,000 Vermonters who have registered for federal assistance so far, only 500 are from Windham County! Please pass the word – if you even THINK you might have suffered damage from Irene, register, REGISTER, REGISTER. You cannot get assistance if you don’t ask for it.
To register, apply online at www.disasterassistance.gov, call 800-621-FEMA (3362), or go to one of the Disaster Recovery Centers (in Brattleboro or Dover). The deadline for Irene is now November 15; registration only takes about 15 minutes.
